Keeping the Fire Burning: Understanding and Recovering from Burnout
April 17 @ 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm
High intensity environments, the demands of trying to balance personal and professional roles, and an intense desire to excel, combined with less than optimal self-care habits can lead to a feeling of being “burnt-out.” Aside from compromising professional performance, burnout can also seriously affect home life as well as physical and emotional well-being. The good news is that those who are feeling these negative effects can rekindle that flame and keep burning long and bright—with some changes to life balance and solid stress-management techniques.
Brought to us via CSLI alumnus, Ann Cesare, Rev. Nathan Mesnikoff, Director of Spiritual Care at Memorial Hospital, will share his expertise and knowledge, explaining burnout syndrome, exploring risk factors, and what can be done to prevent or heal from professional and personal burnout.
