Gratitude for Nominating Candidates for the Class of 2025

Thank you to all who contributed to the nomination process. We received over 115 nominees from 36 alumni, representing a wide variety of industries and showcasing individuals with significant interest in our program. Your support is greatly appreciated!

All nominees have received their applications and have had two opportunities to participate in our CSLI Informational Sessions. They will begin reaching out to Alumni to request letters of recommendations. If you serve on the CSLI Board or Selection Committee you are unable to participate in recommendation letters. For alumni providing letters for candidates please limit them to no more than two candidates. All applications are due by Friday, August 30th.

Dates for next years class are scheduled for April 21- 25th, 2025.

By nominating someone, you have the opportunity to shine a light on their exceptional efforts and inspire others to follow in their footsteps. These leaders play a crucial role in improving our community’s well-being, whether through innovative solutions, fostering inclusivity, or spearheading initiatives that address pressing issues. Moving Upstream: Navigating the Future of Water in the Pikes Peak Region

A special thank you to everyone who attended the Moving Upstream: Navigating the future of water in the Pikes Peak Region. We had full house and a terrific group of panelists who discussed our local and regional water plans and explained how community members can be a part of the conversation and decision making. Our sincere appreciation to our partners El Pomar Foundation and Colorado Springs Utilities and our whiskey sponsor Axe and Oak Distillery. The event was lead by El Pomar Fellow Carlos Buendia Sevilla, with support by the following alumni: Erin Hannan ’14, Stella Hodgkins ’18, Kyle Hybl ’03, Karen Palus ’16, Brian Risley ’15, and Thayer Tutt ’08.

Alumni Doings


  • Kimberly Gold ’24 on graduating from the CiviCO 2023-2024 Colorado Governor’s Fellowship program. The program prepares private and nonprofit sector leaders for opportunities to deepen their understanding of Colorado state government and statewide public policy issues.
  • Lynn Vidler ’23, is taking on the role of Interim Provost at UCCS for the next year. In that role, they will serve as the chief academic officer for the university while the campus searches for a permanent Provost.
  • Gina Cimino ’18 and Gina Sacripanti ’20 with Phil Long Dealerships-have partnered with the City of Colorado Springs (Mayor Yemi Mobalade ’16), Catholic Charities of Central Colorado (Andy Barton ’17 and Lorri Orwig ’23), and Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center (Bob McLaughlin ’15) for our Thanks, Jay community give back campaign.


  • Building Generational Resilience: Historical Context to Empowerment- Deb Mahan ’17,Tuesday, July 16, 2024, 5:30pm – 7:30pm at the Penrose House Garden Pavilion. REGISTER
  • Gina Cimino ’18, Gina Sacripanti ’20 and Stu Davis ’18: In support of COSILoveYou’s goal to supply 12,000 backpacks to local youth in need, Phil Long Dealerships is joining a collaborative effort involving more than 70 local business, nonprofit and government partners by hosting donation drop-off sites for the 2024 Backpack Bash. From July 1 through July 19, the public is encouraged to stop by any Phil Long location in Colorado Springs to donate new, unused backpacks and will receive a $25 Service Gift Card for doing so. These gift cards may be redeemed at any participating Phil Long dealership.

Membership dues are a key part of empowering CSLI and our alumni to create meaningful impact in our community. We will be re-sending out dues invoices to those of you we havent heard from yet.
